“ Paul Cluver is the reference for Chardonnay wines. The Seven Flags Chardonnay is the first release of 27-year-old vines, some of the oldest in South Africa. The sticks are clones of burgundy sticks from Dijon. The 7 Flags by Paul Cluver has a clear, mineral-driven bouquet with a hint of sea salt and limestone. The taste is very well balanced and very Burgundy-like, more Chassagne than Meursault with a very long, slightly spicy finish with the 30% new oak skillfully integrated. 2014 was the debut of this beautiful wine and has a very high rating every year (Parker 94-95). This wine has a great drinking window from 2018-2030 + AWARDS Tim Atkin (2017): 96/100 Decanter World Wine Awards (2016): 95/100 & Platinum Best In Show International Wine Challenge (2016): Silver ”
